On Saturday, Working Group II (WGII) of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) ended its first week's consideration of the Summary for Policymakers (SPM) of the WGII contribution to the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report (AR6).
A single plenary session was held, during which delegates continued their line-by-line consideration and approval of the SPM, focusing on mid- to long-term risks. Alongside the plenary, delegates also gathered in contact groups to consider the SPM sections on observed impacts from climate change and on future adaptation options and their feasibility.
The Working Group will resume its work on Monday.
