Summary
On Monday, SBSTTA delegates met throughout the day in plenary to hear opening statements and address: scenarios for the 2050 vision for biodiversity and the links between the Aichi Biodiversity Targets and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); tools for evaluating the effectiveness of policy instruments for implementing the Strategic Biodiversity Plan; guidance for a more sustainable wild meat sector; and biodiversity and human health. A Friends of the Chair group on bushmeat, facilitated by Prudence Galega (Cameroon), convened in the evening.
IISD Reporting Services, through its Earth Negotiations Bulletin (ENB) Meeting Coverage, has provided daily web coverage, daily reports, and a summary and analysis report from 21st Meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice and 10th Meeting of the Ad Hoc Open-ended Working Group on Article 8(j) and Related Provisions of the CBD.The summary and analysis report is available in HTML and PDF.
