This video features the highlights of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) Council Consultation with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), which took place on 10 June 2019, at World Bank Headquarters in Washington, DC, US.
Interviewees explain how community empowerment is as an effective tool to combat the challenge of plastic pollution and to scale up the transition to a circular economy. The event was a step towards a more meaningful engagement of civil society and community-based organizations within the GEF architecture.
