On 6 December 2018, the Gulf Cooperation Council hosted a side event on the sidelines of the 2018 UN Climate Summit (COP 24) in Katowice, Poland, titled ‘Sustainable Development for an Attainable Future.’ This video builds on this discussion, highlighting key sustainability efforts in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, particularly in the petrochemical industry. It also explores changes in the government and business mindset, trying to balance economic growth and sustainable living in this highly oil-dependent region.
