Faye Leone

Writer

Faye Leone is a writer with Earth Negotiations Bulletin, specializing in the SDGs and associated policymaking.

Faye works in business and municipal sustainability. She is a Senior Sustainability Writer at the Governance and Accountability Institute, and she is the Climate Smart Coordinator for the City of Beacon, New York.

She has been a regular contributor to IISD’s Earth Negotiations Bulletin (ENB) since 2010. Faye served as an editor of IISD’s SDG Knowledge Hub for 11 years. Her other experience includes:

  • leading campaigns to improve high-level elections and appointments at the UN
  • advocating for strengthened gender architecture and environmental governance in international institutions
  • fact-finding about environmental and human rights abuses on the Thai-Burma border
  • policy, communications, research and advocacy work with the Global Sourcing Council, Oxfam International and Refugees International

Faye is a graduate of the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) at Columbia University, where she studied economic and political development.
