The eighth round of Informal Consultations on the UN Fish Stocks Agreement met for a fourth and final day on Thursday. During the morning plenary, delegates considered and adopted, as orally amended in plenary, the proposed timeline and programme of work for the resumed Review Conference that was prepared by an informal open-ended working group that met Wednesday afternoon. Chair Balton said the proposed timeline and programme of work would be submitted to the sixty-fourth session of the UN General Assembly in fall 2009, along with the report on the Continuing Dialogue, as appendices to the Chair’s Summary Report. Chair Balton gaveled the meeting to a close at 12:25 pm.
