Accra Climate Change Talks Conclude
On Wednesday morning, delegates convened in a contact group on delivering on technology and finance, including consideration of institutional arrangements under the Ad Hoc Working Group on Long-term Cooperative Action under the Convention (AWG-LCA). A contact group on "other issues" under the Ad Hoc Working Group on Further Commitments for Annex I Parties (AWG-KP) also met. Delegates also attended AWG-LCA informal consultations on the 2009 work programme. In the afternoon, delegates convened in closing plenary sessions of the AWG-LCA and the AWG-KP and adopted conclusions on long-term cooperative action and the 2009 Work Programme under the AWG-LCA. Parties also adopted conclusions on: spillover effects; land use, land-use change and forestry; the flexible mechanisms; methodological issues; and means to reach emission reduction targets under the AWG-KP.
